Small 2.7-magnitude earthquake reported in Hermosa Beach
LOS ANGELES - A small earthquake was reported in the Hermosa Beach area Thursday night.
According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the earthquake happened about 2.5 miles west-southwest of Hermosa Beach. Its depth was reported at about 6.2 miles, according to the USGS.
This is the second time in less than six weeks that USGS is reporting an earthquake in the Hermosa Beach Area. Back on May 8, USGS reported a 3.7-magnitude earthquake about 2 miles west-southwest of Hermosa Beach.

The USGS is asking anyone who felt the quake is asked to submit a brief report. You can click here for more information.
