SoFi worker fired after vendor incident

A SoFi Stadium worker who was accused of knocking over two vendor carts outside the stadium has reportedly been fired. According to the stadium, the worker was employed by a third party.

A stadium staff worker, accused of dumping a cart belonging to one of the food vendors just outside SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, has been fired, officials confirmed Tuesday.

People in the cell phone video claimed the stadium worker knocked a hot dog cart over, leaving the food spilled all over the street over the weekend.

Los Angeles County deputies were at the scene but neither the worker nor any of the vendors were detained.

SoFi worker accused of dumping vendor's food into street

SoFi Stadium says it is aware of the incident and is cooperating with the investigation.

A deputy at the scene apologized to the vendors for having to go through what they went through, but the vendor was not having it in the video.

"It's only a sorry?" One of the vendors responded to the deputy who appeared to be at the scene to de-escalate the situation.

It is unknown what prompted the incident to take place. The worker has not been identified, but his picture was captured at the scene and posted on social media, showing him wearing a blue "SoFi Stadium Guest Experience" shirt.

The vendor's 12-year-old daughter suffered minor bruises when the cart flipped over.

SoFi Stadium has released the following statement to FOX 11 in response to the incident:

"We are aware that an incident occurred Saturday night outside of the stadium and are working with law enforcement to look into the matter. The individual involved was employed by a third-party vendor, and we have been advised that he has since been terminated. Maintaining a safe environment is our number one priority, and we will continue to regularly evaluate staffing and protocols across all of our vendors to ensure an enjoyable entertainment experience."
