MORENO VALLEY, Calif. - A student was seriously injured in a fight on Monday at Landmark Middle School, sheriff's officials said.
According to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department, two male juvenile students got into a physical altercation around 1:10 p.m. Their names have not been released.
The fight took place at the school, located at 15261 Legendary Drive in Moreno Valley.
One student sustained major injuries and was transported to a local hospital, his current condition is unknown.
It was unclear what started the fight or if anyone else was involved.
Authorities said they are in the early stages of the investigation.
