Suspect in custody after hours-long barricade situation
WINNETKA, Calif. (FOX 11) - A suspect is in custody after five hours of refusing to come out during a barricade situation with police.
The suspect, a 30-year-old man neighbors call Richard, began firing his gun inside a home on the 8600 block of Fulbright in Winnetka Thursday morning.
Police were called and the man refused to come out.
No one had seen or heard from him since the gunshots were heard and concern for his welfare grew.
Dozens of people were evacuated from their home as police worked to get the man to come out of the home.
Friends and family say he had four weapons and was known to take prescription medicine.
LAPD SWAT officers at last went into the home and brought the man out. No one was harmed.
The suspect may face charges.
