Torrance home shows off massive Dodgers-themed Christmas display
TORRANCE, Calif. - A home in Torrance has an award-winning Christmas light display inspired by the Los Angeles Dodgers World Series victory.
"It gives a good meaning to the term ‘Blue Christmas,’ I guess you could say," said Dan, the homeowner.
This Dodgers-themed house is in the Torrance neighborhood known as "Sleepy Hollow" during the holidays. An area with a historic tradition of decorative displays, the Seaside Neighborhood Association awarded Dan the "Lights Display Award for Outstanding Decorations" for his Dodgers home.

"We’re true Dodgers fans," said Dan. "We love the Dodgers. With the excitement of this season, we decided we had to go all out."
Outside the home are jerseys of star players, a Dodger Stadium sign, banners for World Series victory years, a Fernando Valenzuela memorial, the retired Dodger numbers and a speaker system, so people can hear historical Dodger moments.
According to Dan, it took him weeks to set up.
"Quite a bit [of time]," said Dan. "Weekends, nights, long hours. We got some kids involved."
The award-winning World Series display is now spreading Dodgers Christmas cheer for all to see and hear.
"That’s what I do it for," said Dan. "To just see the looks on people’s faces, and what it brings to them."
