Traffic Alert: 101 Freeway in downtown LA to be closed for 2 weekends due to construction
LOS ANGELES - The City of Los Angeles announced the 101 Freeway downtown will be shut down for two weekends.
The closure is part of the city's ongoing construction of the $588 million Sixth Street Viaduct Replacement Project.
The freeway will be shut down during the following dates:
- Friday, October 22 at 10 p.m. to Sunday, October 24 at 3 p.m.
- Thursday, November 4 at 10 p.m. to Saturday, November 6 at 3 p.m.
The City of Los Angeles explained in a press release that crews are assigned to remove the bridge falsework under the viaduct.
