LOS ANGELES (FOX 11) - Crews were dealing with a water main break in downtown Los Angeles Tuesday morning, causing street closures.
Water gushed onto the roadway at the intersection of Eleventh and Main streets beginning around 5:30 a.m Traffic was diverted through Olympic Blvd. and drivers were asked to avoid the area.
Crews with The Los Angeles Department of Power and Water and the Los Angeles Fire Department were at the scene and worked to monitor flooding throughout the morning.
The 12-inch cast iron main impacted five to seven services, authorities confirmed.
Services were expected to resume by 1:00 p.m.
The cause of the water main break remains under investigaiton.
