(FOX 11) - Ho! Ho! Ho! Before Santa gets too busy, we caught up with Mr. Claus aboard the Queen Mary in Long Beach, CA for some early gift giving. You're never too old for Santa. So we brought this week's Wednesday's Child kiddo along; Matthew (2003), a teen in foster care with a big heart and a charismatic personality.
Matthew is active and athletic. He enjoys sports and his favorite teams are the LA Dodgers and the Pittsburgh Steelers. He is also playing on a soccer team. The other part of Matthew has a natural inclination for the arts, which is his creative way of expressing himself. He sketches various subjects, and has an affinity to drawing cartoon characters.
Matthew also has a technical streak. He's mechanically inclined and can take apart gadgets, and try to put them back together in order to learn how they function. Matthew hasn't decided what he wants as a career choice, but likely it'll involve the arts and technology.
Matthew is very easy going and thrives on one-on-one attention. He is a great companion to be with. Matthew is in high school and makes friends easily. He is helpful around the house and respectful of his caregivers.
Santa and the Wednesday's Child Team presented to Matthew a radio controlled car to satisfy the technology in him, as well as Dodgers and Steelers gears, and of course, an art sketching kit to validate Matthews many dimensions of skill and talent. We're looking for an adoptive family for Matthew this Holiday Season that will support and help him thrive in all capacities.
