Thief runs victim down with car on Sunset Blvd. in WeHo attack

Surveillance video shows the victim fly off the hood of the vehicle and land on the floor. The driver, now shirtless, gets out and appears to rob the man.

A man is recovering after being hit by a car during an attempted armed robbery in West Hollywood Friday morning. 

Deputies with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Office responded to the 9000 block of Sunset Blvd. around 9:10 a.m. for reports of men fighting. 

Surveillance video shows a vehicle enter a parking lot and pull up to a man who just got out of his white Tesla. The suspect, armed with a gun, runs towards the victim. The victim appears to fight back then flees by running away, but the suspect chased him through the parking lot.

Video shows brazen armed robbery in West Hollywood

Two suspects attempted to rob a man in a parking lot Friday morning in West Hollywood. The incident was caught on video.

The suspect then returns to the car with his shirt and mask off. He then attempts to drive away, but video shows his passenger run up to the car and get in before fleeing.

Thief runs over man with car, robs victim on Sunset Blvd. in West Hollywood

Disturbing video shows the moment where a thief runs over a man, and then robs the person he nearly ran over.

The victim was then struck by the suspect's car. Another surveillance video shows the victim fly off the hood of the vehicle and land on the floor. The driver gets out and appears to rob the man. The suspect left his gun behind then fled. 

The vehicle, described as a gray 4-door Infiniti, fled eastbound on Sunset Blvd. Deputies are looking for the male driver and female passenger. 

The victim was taken to the hospital in stable condition. It appears the robbers didn't take anything from the victim.
