Fire breaks out on Sunset Strip in West Hollywood as winds batter SoCal
WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif. - Firefighters have stopped forward progress on a fire that was threatening homes in West Hollywood off the Sunset Strip as the area experienced powerful winds in anticipation of an afternoon windstorm.

The fire was reported just before 10:10 a.m. near Sunset and La Cienega boulevards.
Sunset Blvd. was closed from Queens Road to Hayvenhurst Drive for the firefight.
The fire's forward progress was stopped at 10:51 a.m.
