Willowbrook neighborhood shooting: 5 wounded, teen boy among 2 killed

Two people were killed, including a 17-year-old boy, and five people were woundedd after a shooting in Los Angeles County's Willowbrook neighborhood, according to the LA County Sheriff's Department

Authorities say reports came in around 3:00 p.m. Sunday in the 12200 block of Blakely Avenue, near the intersection of E. 122nd Street. The area is located near the Martin Luther King Jr. Community Hospital.

The names of the two victims who were declared dead at the scene were identified by the LA County coroner’s office Monday as David Pugh, 17, of Downey, and Timothy Ford Sr., 40, of Moreno Valley. Both had been shot in the upper torso, detectives say.

Four other people — one man in his fifties and three in their forties — were all transported to a local hospital and treated for gunshot wounds. According to LASD, a seventh victim, described as a woman in her forties drove herself to the hospital.

A mother of one of the victims who survived the shooting spoke to FOX 11's Mario Ramirez Monday morning. She said her son is 20 years old.

"He was not able to talk. He has tubes down his throat and in his nose and he has tubes in his neck ," LaQuincy Zimmerman said.

The names of the victims have not been released and sheriff's deputies are still investigating what led to the shooting.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the LASD.
