Woman found dead in Upland apartment on New Year's Eve

UPLAND, Calif. - A homicide investigation is underway in Upland after a 33-year-old woman was found dead in an apartment on New Year's Eve, according to police.

Officers responded to an apartment in the 2000 block of W. Arrow Route to conduct a welfare check. The caller said the woman did not show up to work and they were unable to reach her.

At the scene, officers were able to look inside through a window and saw a woman with visible injuries.

Officers entered the apartment and provided life-saving measures. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity was not immediately released.

The homicide investigation is ongoing.
