LA Chargers to sign Ezekiel Elliott, report says
LOS ANGELES - The Los Angeles Chargers are reportedly signing former Pro Bowl running back Ezekiel Elliott.
According to a report from NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the Chargers will sign "Zeke" to the practice squad. The signing is likely for depth purposes, as the Chargers are just weeks removed from bringing back JK Dobbins from the injured reserve over a knee injury and Dobbins' backup Gus Edwards missed the regular-season finale over an ankle injury.
Elliott joins the Chargers after the Cowboys released the 29-year-old so he could sign with a playoff contender. In his nine seasons in the NFL, Elliott has been named to three Pro Bowls (2016, 2018 and 2019) and was named All-Pro 1st Team in his rookie season (2016).
He joins the Bolt Fam after finishing the 2024 regular season with 226 rushing yards on 74 total carries, an average of 3.1 yards per carry.
