After a massive fire at the Lineage cold-storage warehouse in Boyle Heights was knocked down, an estimated 85 million pounds of meat, poultry, seafood, and bread began rotting without refrigeration.

With jurors again insisting they were hopelessly deadlocked, a mistrial was declared Friday in the arson trial of 30-year-old Jonathan Rinderknecht, accused of setting a blaze that grew into the deadly Palisades Fire, the most destructive fire in Los Angeles history.

A veteran LA City firefighter says the jury got it right in the mistrial of Jonathan Rinderknecht.
