Attorneys say that 89% of those arrested by the Rodeo Drive Task Force were Black and want the California Attorney General to investigate their findings. “You need to take action. There needs to be an investigation to continue to bring Black citizens forward,” Civil Rights Attorney Ben Crump said.

Black couple files class action lawsuit over Beverly Hills arrests

Jasmine Williams and Khalil White brought the proposed class-action complaint Monday in Los Angeles Superior Court, alleging that Capt. Scott Dowling's efforts to make the city safer ended up with 105 out of 106 of the arrestees being Black. The civil rights suit seeks unspecified damages.
