A man who officials said was pointing a gun at traffic and pedestrians before discharging the firearm was struck by police gunfire in the Fairfax District on Friday.

A man is behind bars in connection to the murder of a Mid-City dog walker.

Investigators revealed Monday robbery was the motive behind the senseless murder of 52-year-old Marcos Sandoval who was shot and killed over the weekend while walking his dog in Los Angeles' Mid-City neighborhood.

Police are searching for the suspect who murdered a man who was walking his dog in the Mid-City area of Los Angeles. 

Two California Highway Patrol officers are being praised for their heroic actions in stopping a wrong-way driver on the 10 Freeway overnight. The suspect was identified as 38-year-old Adam Charles Walker and he was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.

A police chase Monday morning ended in a collision with a parked car. One person who was in the parked car was injured. The suspect was taken into custody after running away from the crash site.

Three of 20 suspects accused of using hammers to break into a department store at The Grove were arrested Tuesday, police said. The suspects also led authorities on a pursuit earlier that evening.
