Senate committee considers Garcetti for India ambassadorship

Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti met with a Senate committee Tuesday as they consider him for the ambassadorship to India. If confirmed, LA City Council President Nury Martinez would assume the role of acting mayor until a special election or an interim mayor is named.
