Deputies probe fatal officer-involved shooting

A deputy shot and killed a gunman who pointed a gun at him at the end of a foot chase in Compton, but the gunman's weapon was not immediately found in a follow-up investigation, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department reported today.
