All lanes of Pacific Coast Highway reopen in Malibu following mudslide, flooding
MALIBU, Calif. (FOX 11) - A stretch of Pacific Coast Highway was closed Thursday in the Malibu area due to a mudslide and flooding, city officials said.
Both directions of the highway were closed around 10:20 a.m. between Broad Beach Road in Malibu and Las Posas Road in Ventura County.
California Department of Transportation crews reopened all lanes of PCH in both directions around 4:30 p.m.
Motorists are advised to remain cautious when driving through the area and on canyon roads.
The first in a series of storms arrived Thursday in Southern California, bringing thunderstorms and mountain snow.
