Burn areas prepare for biggest storm since last February

Some people may welcome this expected rainfall.

We certainly need it.

But people who live in areas hit by recent wildfires may not want as much as two inches of rain this Monday and Tuesday.

Firefighters said people in Santa Clarita, as well as Creek, La Tuna, Rye and Skirball areas needed to brace for the rainstorm, which is expected to arrive on Monday.

They put out sandbags for people to take and lay around their homes.

National Weather Service said Los Angeles will get its largest rainfall in almost a year. This all came after a 10-month dry spell, which was what makes burn areas places of concern.

This rain could also result in urban street and underpass flooding.
