SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fl. (WOFL) - A pair of Florida Sheriff's deputies went above and beyond the call of duty for a family that had been displaced by Hurricane Irma over the weekend.
The Seminole County Sheriff's Office shared the story on their Facebook page early Monday morning.
According to their post, the deputies came across a family of four, including a newborn, a 2-year-old, and dog. The family had been waiting in the parking lot of one of the shelters.
Once inside the shelter, Deputy Gonzalez offered the family his personal air mattress, while Deputy Spencer, offered up his own pillow, to help make the family and their youngsters as comfortable as possible while staying in the shelter.
"Thank you Deputy Gonzalez and Deputy Spencer for your self-less act to help a family in need!" the Sheriff's Office wrote on Facebook.
