Tuesday storm brings record rainfall in Los Angeles
(FOX 11) - Here are Tuesday rainfall totals around Southern California, according to the National Weather Service:
Downtown Los Angeles: 2.39 inches
Los Angeles Airport: 1.79 inches
Long Beach Airport: 0.93 inches
UCLA: 2.12 inches
Burbank Airport: 1.02 inches
Lancaster Fox Field: 0.64 inches
Palmdale Airport: 0.43 inches
Sandberg: 0.68 inches
Camarillo Airport: 0.36 inches
Oxnard NWS: 0.37 inches
Santa Barbara Airport: 0.14 inches
With 2.39 inches of rain in Downtown Los Angeles as of 3 p.m., Sept. 15, 2015 is now the second wettest calendar day in any September since records began in 1877.
The wettest September day on record was September 25, 1939 when 3.96 inches of rain fell.
