90-foot Christmas tree destroyed by fire

COSTA MESA, Calif. (FOX 11 / AP) - A 90-foot Christmas tree outside Westin South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa was destroyed by a fire today, authorities said.

Firefighters were sent to the 600 block of Anton Boulevard about 6:40a.m., according to the Costa Mesa police and fire departments.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.
