EVANSVILLE, Ind. - Detectives in Indiana were notified earlier this month of "suspicious packages" found at a local parcel delivery facility believed to contain narcotics.
Detective finds meth stuffed inside Cheetos bags
On March 5, a detective with the Evansville-Vanderburgh County Drug Task Force responded to the facility and discovered approximately 40 pounds of suspected methamphetamine stuffed inside Cheetos bags.
Detectives conducted surveillance and observed a white van arrive at the residence. Two individuals, later identified as Natasha Renee Garner, 46, and Goldie Rodney Junior Flenor, 36, both from Los Angeles, California, retrieved the packages and returned to their vehicle.
As officials from marked law enforcement vehicles attempted to stop the suspects, their vehicle accelerated in an attempt to flee. The suspect vehicle then struck a marked Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office SUV. Both suspects were taken into custody without further incident.
What's next:
A federal complaint was filed against Garner and Flenor for conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine, and both were transported to the Henderson, Kentucky, Detention Center.
