Drive-up coronavirus testing facility opens in Riverside County

Drive-up coronavirus testing facilities will be open this weekend in Riverside County.

On Friday, a facility will be open at Southwest Church, located at 44175 Washington Street in Indian Well. The testing is done by appointment only between the hours of 9:30 a.m. and 3 p.m.

“I am pleased that we are working with our local partners to ensure the community has access to testing,” said Chairman V. Manuel Perez, Fourth District Supervisor.

Those who want to get tested must have symptoms and call 800-945-6171 to schedule an appointment before showing up to Southwest Church. Drive-ups without appointments cannot be accommodated.

On Saturday and Sunday, a drive-up coronavirus testing facility will be set up at the Diamond Stadium in Lake Elsinore. This facility will also be run through an appointment-only protocol.

Those who want to get tested must have symptoms and call 800-945-6171 to schedule their appointment before showing up at Diamond Stadium. Officials say that call wait times may vary. Drive-ups without appointments cannot be accommodated.

“I’m proud of our county and city professionals as well as our businesses and residents for pulling together to help one another,” said Supervisor Kevin Jeffries, First District. “The Stadium is great centralized location.”

Some of the symptoms include fever, sore throat, cough, runny nose or congestion. Those who have risk of exposure may also be tested, which means exposure to a confirmed case or have traveled to an affected area.
