Eli Young Band performs live on Good Day LA + backstage interview

LOS ANGELES (FOX 11) - The Eli Young Band performed Friday on Good Day LA as part of our Mercury Insurance Concert Series.

Lead singer Mike Eli founded the band with guitarist James Young, bassist Jon Jones and drummer Chris Thompson at the University of North Texas in 2000, building a grass-roots fanbase that propelled each of their previous three albums into the Top 5 of Billboard's Country Albums chart, with 2014's 10,000 TOWNS bowing at No. 1.

The band, currently on tour with two shows this weekend in Southern California, performed "Love Ain't" live on the show, followed later by "Breaks Your Heart."

The Eli Young Band is performing Saturday, March 30 at the Round Up Country Festival in Simi Valley and Sunday, March 31at Moonshine Beach in San Diego.
