FOX 11 IN DEPTH on the senate race, heat wave and an LA coffee born in Cuba

This week a really varied show. First, we talk with California State Senator Kevin de León why he's trying to unseat longtime U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein.

Then, with excessive heat heading back to the Southland, we hear from DWP COO Marty Adams on how the power company is preparing and what we should be thinking about. Finally, a trip to Gaviña coffee in the city of Vernon. A fun and informative field trip!

SEGMENT ONE and TWO:
California State Senator Kevin de León is trying to unseat longtime U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein. In the first two segments he discusses why Californians needs, as he puts it, a bold new vision. He steers clear of condemning Feinstein as a "failure". He takes on the President calling for his impeachment and adds he would be tougher on the President were he the U.S. Senator from California and not Feinstein who has earned many high level committee positions due to her tenure.

SEGMENT THREE:

With more excessive heat days ahead we hear from DWP COO Marty Adams on how the power company is preparing. The last similar situation caused over 100,000 to lose power and that was tough for some. He discusses the aging infrastructure.

We also spoke with Marty on the What The Hal Podcast, which you can listen to here:

SEGMENT FOUR:

A field trip to Gaviña Coffee in the city of Vernon. We tour the plant and learn the family history of this local business that, since starting in Cuba, has had its share of ups and downs.
