Global nonprofit works to clean SoCal beaches following busy Memorial Day weekend

A global nonprofit organization is doing its part to clean up the trash that was left behind on Southern California beaches over Memorial Day weekend.

“It’s very important to do your small market to enjoy the place we get to call home,” said One with the Ocean Founder, Bryan Mineo.

On Tuesday morning, members with “One with the Ocean” maintained proper social distancing while wearing masks in gloves to conduct solo sweeps.

The nonprofit also works to make people feel safe in the water.

“Our idea is to connect people with the ocean. The ocean connects us emotionally, emotionally and physically,” he said.
