Hourslong standoff ends in Pomona after report of shots fired
POMONA, Calif. - A barricade situation ended in Pomona after officers responded to a shots fired call, police said.
Police received a call from a neighbor around 11:45 p.m. Tuesday about several gunshots fired inside a home.
Officers with the Pomona Police Department pinpointed the gunshots to a home located in the 700 block of Gilbert Street located near the intersection of Fairplex Drive and Orange Grove Avenue.
Police believed two suspects were barricaded inside the home and SWAT and a K-9 unit were called to the scene.
The public was cautioned to avoid the area while law enforcement worked to communicate with the suspects.
The barricade ended around 6:40 a.m. and a man was taken into custody, according to the Pomona Police Department.
A woman at the home was not believed to be a suspect, according to police.
