Job Finder: Text to find and apply to jobs at Walmart, Lowe’s
LOS ANGELES - Unemployment numbers are at an all-time high due to coronavirus. But Walmart and Lowe's are looking for essential employees, and it’s so easy, you can apply right from your phone – by text!
At Lowes.com, you can check out 200 job opportunities here in the Los Angeles area. You just text “JOBS” to “LOWES” or 56937. They are currently offering positions including a night operations supervisor, sales specialists, seasonal associates and more. They offer benefits including health insurance and a 401K savings plan. The company says on their website they are “proud to invest in our associates” and that’s why during this pandemic, Lowe's announced they are hiring 30,000 positions across the country.

Another company hiring using texts is Walmart. They already met their goal of adding 6,000 new associates in California so now the focus is plugging those essential workers like stockers and personal shoppers for grocery pick-up and delivery.
According to the job-finding website Glassdoor, the pay ranges from $9 to $12 an hour for a cashier or sales associate position. Assistant and store managers can make up to $60,000 per year. These jobs are based on the needs of each individual store.
