Woman hurt, dozens of cars damaged after large tree falls at Greek Theatre
LOS ANGELES - Some concertgoers at the Greek Theater in Griffith Park left a performance only to find an unpleasant discovery Wednesday night.
A woman was injured and at least 30 cars were damaged after a large tree fell on a parking lot at the venue, fire officials said.
The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a call just after 8 p.m. Wednesday night.
A 35-year-old woman suffered an injury to her lower leg. She was taken to an area hospital and is expected to be OK, LAFD officials said.
All of the parked cars were empty and did not find any additional victims during their search, according to the LAFD.
The tree was estimated to be between 40 to 50 feet tall and it is unknown what caused the tree to fall.
