Residents living In the upscale neighborhood of Laurel Canyon are getting tired of having Holiday packages blatantly stolen from their front doors, even in broad daylight. For Roddy and Susan Novotny of Lookout Mountain, who also ship out packages for their high end dog collar business, RN Design, with collars priced from $100-350 dollars, it has become a babysitting job for mailing and receiving packages from their home.

Most homes in the Laurel Canyon part of the Hollywood Hills, start in the millions and normally it's a pretty safe neighborhood to ship and receive packages, but lately especially during this Christmas Season, package theft has become a very expensive nuisance.

The couple decided to play a trick on holiday thieves stealing mail and gifts. Susan decided to scoop a little something from their cat, "Biggie's", litter box and package up a poop filled decoy box and set it in front of their house.
