Local Black Lives Matter co-founder examines George Floyd death investigation
LOS ANGELES - Peaceful protests, riots, destruction and violence and are all being expressed after the death of George Floyd.
Floyd, an unarmed black man, was killed by a Minneapolis police officer. The killing sparked national outrage after very disturbing video showed Floyd struggling to breath before his death on Monday.
Four Minneapolis police officers involved in the man's death have been fired and one was charged with first-degree murder and manslaughter Friday.

Many have weighed in on the case, with a unanimous goal: justice.

The death of George Floyd has sparked violent protests across the country for the last couple of days and Minnesota’s governor responded by bringing in the National Guard.
The FBI and the Department of Justice are now involved in investigating Floyd’s death.
Professor Melina Abdullah, a local voice for justice and one of the Los Angeles co-founders of Black Lives Matter, joined Good Day LA on Friday to talk about the upsetting case.
