Mac and cheese bites shipped nationwide recalled for metal contamination

Gluten-free mac & cheese bites have been recalled due to metal contamination, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. 

The recall affects Feel Good Foods’ gluten-free Three Cheese Mac & Cheese Bites, which are sold in the freezer section.

Mac & cheese bites recalled over metal contamination

What we know:

The voluntary recall was first initiated last month by New York-based Feel Good Foods due to a "foreign object (metal pieces)," according to an FDA enforcement report

It involves 8-ounce packages of Feel Good Foods’ Three Cheese Mac & Cheese Bites, which are packaged in a yellow carton and have 9 units per case. The mac & cheese bites were distributed to grocery stores nationwide.

The recalled product has the UPC code 89903900280-8 and the following lot numbers/best-by dates:

  • Best By Date: 6/19/26 Lot Number: 24354AV1
  • Best By Date: 06/20/26 Lot Number: 24355AV1

What we don't know:

The FDA report did not disclose any reported injuries associated with the recall.

The FDA enforcement report said a total of 4,246 cases are part of the recall.
