Pink Martini performs live on Good Day LA + backstage interview
LOS ANGELES - Pink Martini performed Friday on Good Day LA as part of our Mercury Insurance Concert Series.
The musical group was formed in 1994 by pianist Thomas Lauderdale in Portland, Oregon. Members of the band call it a little orchestra that crosses the genres of classical music, classic pop, Latin music, and jazz. The co-lead vocalists for Pink Martini are China Forbes and Storm Large.
Pink Martini performed "Sola Soy," featuring Edna Vaquez, followed by their song, "Lilly," — a Pink Martini fan favorite.
The group is gearing up for three big concerts in Los Angeles this weekend! Friday night they will be performing with L.A. natives La Santa Cecilia and the bowl orchestra, Saturday night with the Violent Femmes and the bowl orchestra with their last L.A. performance on Sunday night with iconic organist Booker T. Jones.
After their performances, we met up with two of the ladies from Pink Martini for a backstage interview, check it out here:
