Renowned LA artist debuts colorful ‘Set the Stage’ mural in Hollywood
LOS ANGELES - A new mural was unveiled in Hollywood to support a mission to beautify and activate the district.
World-renowned Los Angeles-based artist Alexandra Nechita completed her first mural, "Set The Stage," at the iconic intersection of Hollywood and Highland.
Nechita partnered with The Hollywood Partnership, along with Arts Bridging the Gap on this project. which is a 501(c)3 Social Justice organization that highlights the voices, experiences, and self-expression of youth from under-resourced communities through immersive arts programs.
Nechita got help from children in the community and volunteer artists.
Nechita became a sensation after being discovered at the age of nine. The art world called her the "Petit Picasso."
Nechita has enjoyed a career of more than three decades as an artist.
Her work is displayed in some of the most iconic locations in the world, including the Vatican Collection in Rome, The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and in the heart of The City Of Beverly Hills. Her art is also featured in private collections of celebrities, including the likes of Oprah Winfrey, Calvin Klein, Lionel Richie, and Debra Messing.
