Robber drinks beer before stealing $17,000 from supermarket
HENRY COUNTY, Ga. - Henry County Police are on the lookout for a beer drinking bandit who stole $17,000 from a Publix grocery store in McDonough.
The unusual heist happened Friday, July 13 on Highway 20 West just before the store closed at 10 p.m.
Police said Isaiah Alexander, 26, of Macon, Georgia posed as a customer and even got a buggy. He put milk, break, and beer in the cart before asking an employee if he could see the manager. He was even seen on surveillance cameras drinking the beer while in the store.
Police said once the manager responded, Alexander, pulled a handgun on the man and forced him into the cash office.
Surveillance video showed Alexander hold the gun on the manager and he demands he remove money from the safe.
Police said anyone who sees Alexander, do not confront him. They said to call 911 immediately.
