Shooting leads to crash involving a stolen vehicle in South L.A.

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (FOX 11) - The Los Angeles Sheriff's Department is investigating a car crash in South Los Angeles following a reported shooting Wednesday evening.

Details are limited but authorities say one person was taken to the hospital in stable condition after the crash in the area of Vermont Avenue and 98th Street, which involved a stolen vehicle.

A gun was recovered nearby, the Sheriff's Department said. The vehicle involved reportedly rammed into several other cars before coming to a complete stop.
