Suspects caught on camera burglarizing Ojai business

A couple of burglars were caught on video breaking into an Ojai business and leaving with several hundred dollars and numerous bottles of wine from the business.

The incident occurred at Bowls and Brews located at 11492 N Ventura Avenue on Oct. 31. Deputies with the Ventura County Sheriff's Department's Ojai station responded to the business at about 3:40 a.m. but the suspects had left before deputies arrived.

Surveillance video of the incident shows an adult male suspect seen walking around the business as an adult female suspect entered and fell through the roof of the business, striking the metal food prep counter and floor. Authorities say it appears the female was injured in the fall and was slow to stand up.
