‘The Masked Singer’ Season 12 unveils new costume – and it’s ‘berry’ sweet

Ahead of another season of "The Masked Singer," FOX TV Stations is getting a sneak peek at an exclusive costume reveal – seen for the first time anywhere. 

In the exclusive video released Thursday, FOX Entertainment unveiled the costume Strawberry Shortcake, who can be seen dancing and competing on "The Masked Singer" stage. 

As for who is underneath the costume, we’ll have to wait and see, but it will likely be a "berry" sweet surprise. 

New for Season 12 of ‘The Masked Singer’

New this season, clues will be everywhere and hidden in all-new places: strategically embedded in costumes, in song choices and during on-stage moments.

Nick Cannon will return to host along with panelists Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy, Ken Jeong and Rita Ora.

Season 12 will also, once again, feature new special theme nights, paying tribute to Mattel’s Barbie, the film "Footloose," and pop star Miley Cyrus. Other new themes will include "Sports Night," "60s Night," and a first-of-its-kind "Who Are You Fest," featuring music from memorable festival lineups.

In addition, fans will also see the return of other popular themes such as "Soundtrack of My Life" and "Thanksgiving Night." 

Season 12 of the Emmy-nominated series will premiere Wednesday, Sept. 25 on FOX, followed by the return of "The Floor."
