Two additional COVID-19 cases confirmed aboard USNS Mercy
LOS ANGELES - Three crewmembers aboard the USNS Mercy have tested positive for the novel coronavirus.
On Thursday it was confirmed two additional members tested positive. This comes a day after Public Affairs Officer Lt. Joseph Pfaff confirmed on Wednesday a medical treatment facility crewmember was positive.

It was not immediately known how the crewmembers contracted the virus.
USNS Mercy is treating non-coronavirus patients to free up space at area hospitals. As of Wednesday, 12 patients getting treatment remained onboard.
