2 horses killed, 2 riders in critical condition after hit-and-run in Lake View Terrace

LOS ANGELES - Los Angeles police are investigating a deadly crash involving two horseback riders in the Lake View Terrace area Friday night.
The collision happened at about 9:40 p.m. in the 10200 block of W. Foothill Boulevard. The L.A. Fire Department says they responded to the scene and found two people in critical condition and two horses that were pronounced dead at the scene.
The victims were taken to a local trauma center by firefighter-paramedics.
The driver of the vehicle ran away from the scene. No information on the suspect was immediately available.
