Dogs hit the waves on a mobile surfing truck

The Lucy Pet Foundation is all about spaying and neutering pets. Their mobile trucks have already done 12,000 operations, but they've found a righteous way to keep spreading the message. With a surfing dog tour! That's right, the "wave maker" surf truck has traveled across the country- to Chicago, Detroit, New York and Houston letting local dogs see if they've got what it takes hang ten.

Sully and Coppertone, old surfing pros, demonstrate. They get to show off their gnarly skills AND help spread awareness about pet overpopulation.

According to the foundation, 80,000 dogs and cats are euthanized every week across the U.S. because there are too many pets, and not enough loving homes. Two cats, left unaltered, over seven years can produce 42,000 other cats. That's a lot of homeless kittens.

And that's why the Lucy Pet Foundation is so committed. Their goal is to have spay/neuter and adoption mobile clinics in every major city.

And our goal is get our pups fixed- and to get them to ride the waves! Who knows, they might be natural surfers, too!
