Midday Sunday: Religious Intolerance

Like every American city, Los Angeles has always had problems with religious bigotry.

For the most part, it has been vandalism aimed at the desecration of houses of worship and cemeteries.

The current political climate in the United States has shown that religious animosity is more deep-seated than many Americans realize.

The South Coast Interfaith Council was established 63 years ago to foster understanding among all people, especially faith communities, in the Greater Los Angeles Area.

Sunday's guests on Midday Sunday include Milia Islam-Majeed, the Executive Director of the SCIC, along with Dr. Rini Ghosh, Rabbi Howard Laibman, Imam Ameen Omar and Rev Peggy Price.

The South Coast Interfaith Council's website is at scinterfaith.org.
