Victim assaulted with metal object in East Hollywood: police

EAST HOLLYWOOD, Calif. - Police in East Hollywood are searching for the suspect who repeatedly hit someone with a metal object. 

The LAPD says the victim and the homeless person got into a fight around 1 a.m. in the area of the red line station and Santa Monica and Vermont.

The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment; their condition is unknown at this time. 

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
