Courtroom sketch artist Mona S. Edwards captures a moment in time through illustration

Mona S. Edwards has been working as a courtroom sketch artist in Los Angeles for more than 25 years.

She's illustrated scenes from some of the most high profile trials and drawn many well-known people, including Michael Jackson, O.J. Simpson, Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, Pharrell, Lindsay Lohan, the Menendez brothers and more.

She began her career as a fashion illustrator, and having an interest in news, began using her illustration skills in the courtroom.

Mona has also created sketch art for television and film and taught fashion sketching classes at UCLA and other academic institutions.

For the past two World Series runs, she sketched the Dodgers for FOX 11.

She joined me on Olympic & Bundy to talk about some of the more memorable cases she's worked on, her illustration style, capturing the big "moment" of the day and a lot more.
