Authorities seek public's help to find missing Lynwood man
Missing man: Pedro Alcatraz Cortez, from Lynwood
LYNWOOD, Calif. - Authorities circulated a photo on Wednesday of a developmentally disabled Lynwood man and sought public help to find him.
Pedro Alcatraz Cortez, 53, was last seen on Dec. 30 about 11 a.m. in the 10000 block of Atlantic Avenue.
Cortez has difficulty communicating and only speaks Spanish, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
He 's described as Hispanic, 5 feet tall and 135 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair.
He was wearing a gray sweater, gray pants, and black boots when last seen.
Investigators urged anyone knowing his whereabouts to call the sheriff's Missing Persons Unit at 323-890-5500, or Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS.
