Drax Project performs live on Good Day LA + backstage interview
LOS ANGELES (FOX 11) - Drax Project performed Friday on Good Day LA as part of our Mercury Insurance Concert Series.
The four-piece New Zealand band formed in 2014, recording a mix of jazz, R&B and pop music. The band consists of Sam Thomson (bass), Shaan Singh (vocals and saxophone), Matt Beachen (drums) and Ben O'Leary (guitar).
Drax Project has grown from being music bunkers on the streets of Wellington into one of the most talked-about groups to come out of New Zealand since Lorde.
The group is known for their breakout hit "Woke Up Late," featuring Hailee Steinfeld, which they performed live on Good Day LA.
Their incendiary live show has led them on a two-year run of sold-out venues as both headlines and openers for Ed Sheeran, Lorde and Camila Cabello.
