Pro Syria demonstrators protest US military strikes
LOS ANGELES, CA (FOX 11) - Over 100 pro Syria demonstrators gathered at Pershing Square in downtown Los Angeles on Saturday to show support for Syrian President Bashar Al Assad, and to condemn US military involvement in the country.
Many of the protesters told FOX 11 that Assad is simply protecting his people from terrorists, and that videos of alleged chemical attacks on civilians were "clearly staged".
The protesters believe the US is using humanitarianism as a pretext to go to war in Syria, and they point to US involvement in Iraq and Libya to prove their point.
A lone Trump supporter showed up to counter protest the group, telling FOX 11 she believes many of the pro Syria demonstrators were paid to show up.
