Purse snatcher caught on camera dragging elderly woman

MEMPHIS, TN - Police in Memphis are looking for a man who grabbed an elderly woman's purse, dragging her for about 7 feet.

Memphis police say the suspect grabbed the purse from a 95-year-old woman at the Oak Court Mall on Monday.

Surveillance video released by police shows the suspect approaching the woman before snagging the purse and running.

The woman was unable to let go and was dragged for about 6 to 7 feet.

Police say she suffered several injuries and was taken to a local hospital in non-critical condition.

No arrests have been made at this time.
